On October 30-31, a delegation from the Create Ukraine project visited Lithuania. The project administration and participants met with representatives from various national institutions, gaining insights into development cooperation, foreign investment attraction, and project management.

Participants of Create Ukraine became familiar with the Create Lithuania activity model, explored high-impact projects, and took part in training sessions on project management and public consultations.The Create Ukraine team participated in the annual Lithuanian Development Cooperation Conference titled “Building Resilience through International Partnerships,” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During their visit, the delegation also engaged with experts from the Central Project Management Agency, Invest Lithuania, Create Lithuania, and other Lithuanian institutions. Participants of Create Ukraine were also introduced to Lithuania’s success story—how, as a small country, it has found its place in international markets.

Create Ukraine is a pilot project launched in the summer of 2024, inspired by the successful model of Create Lithuania. Over the 12-month initiative, young Ukrainians returning to their home country will implement reforms within the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Monika Merkytė, head of Create Lithuania, expressed hope that these ambitious Ukrainians will significantly contribute to their country’s economic development. “Our program demonstrates that even one or a few individuals, in a very short time, can spark change and create innovative solutions that have never been seen before. This is what I wish for my Ukrainian colleagues,” she stated.

The pilot project Create Ukraine is implemented by the Charity Fund of the Kyiv School of Economics KSE Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. It is sponsored by the Central Project Management Agency.

Initiated by Lithuania, the project is part of the EU4Youth Phase III: Employment and Entrepreneurship program, funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
