Visuomenės švietimo ir informuotumo apie biosaugą (GMO) stiprinimas

Problem

Lietuvos visuomenei trūksta kokybiškos informacijos apie GMO (genetiškai modifikuotus organizmus) ir biosaugą (saugiai vykdoma veikla, kurios metu yra naudojami GMO), – tokį poreikį 2012 m. atliktos apklausos metu išreiškė net 51,6% Lietuvos piliečių. Iš jų tik 2,6% apskritai žino, kokios yra aktualiausios su biosauga susijusios problemos ir kaip jas spręsti. Šiandien Lietuvoje apie GMO naudą ir/ar žalą skleidžiama informacija yra labai subjektyvi, platinama subjektyvią nuomonę turinčių iniciatyvinių grupių. Mano tikslas, kad apie GMO ir biosaugą Lietuvos piliečiai turėtų pakankamai kokybiškos informacijos ir dėl sklandančių mitų bei įsitikinimų nebūtų stabdoma mokslinė, pramonės ir kita su GMO naudojimu susijusi veikla.

Taigi, spręsdama šią problemą Aplinkos ministerijoje rengiu visuomenės švietimo ir informuotumo apie biosaugą striprinimo strategiją bei priemonių planą, kurie mano rotacijai pasibaigus bus toliau įgyvendinami Aplinkos ministerijos.

Strengthening civil resilience: investigation of Lithuanian food supply chain dependencies and solutions

The goal of the project is to conduct a systematic investigation of critical food products and raw material import dependencies, which would establish the true import dependency according to the SAM V-641 list, assess supply source vulnerability (EU vs. non-EU countries), and propose technological, circular economy, and green technology solutions to reduce dependencies.
