Motivation
In order to initiate the implementation of projects of change and to inspire other people with physical disabilities to actively shape the future of modern Lithuania, I have decided to join the “Create Lithuania” programme.
International work and study experience in the United Kingdom (UK), The Netherlands, and the United States of America (USA) has taught me that by actively sharing theoretical and practical knowledge as well as success stories of people with disabilities, we can not only increase civic engagement, improve the general public attitude towards the public sector, but also promote social change. However, in my opinion, a person is able to do this, only when s/he is fully aware of the environment and understand people who live around him/her. Therefore, there is only one country in the world where I can accomplish that – Lithuania.
