Motivation

I’ve been fascinated by the “Create Lithuania” program ever since I’ve first heard about it from other Lithuanian academics working in UK.

Ever since I’ve left for the prestigious University of Edinburgh six years ago, I’ve always known that I’ll come back to Lithuania to implement my new international academic knowledge. However, in order to attract more returning academics (like me), the situation in the higher education sector needs to be improved. By taking part in the “Create Lithuania” program I will work towards making Lithuania’s higher education sector more competitive in attracting both local and foreign researchers.
