Motivation
Every building of the future depends on what we build now: the materials we choose and the way we arrange the bricks. In this project, I am contributing to a building whose main and most important idea is to build and create together, always carrying two questions in my pocket: how it could be and why not.
My task in this project is to make sure that the brick I contribute to the Create Lithuania building is packed with the best of my academic and professional experience: an understanding and application of the principles of human rights and fundamental justice, the importance of social work, the strengthening of the role of the humanities in a democracy, and the sincere belief that mistakes can be creative and it is good to make them. So, in my first rotation at the Ministry of Social Protection and Labour, with this attitude and perseverance, I am starting to build my brick.
Lay one brick at a time. As perfectly as a brick can be laid. (W. Smith)”
