Motivation

Although there is a widespread public opinion that there are no opportunities for young people who have studied abroad to realise their potential in Lithuania, I would like to believe that by taking part in the Create Lithuania programme I will contribute to changing not only this opinion, but also the situation itself.

In my experience, it only takes one positive example to change a young person’s attitude. When I graduated in the Netherlands, I thought that it would be almost impossible to get a job in the public sector in Lithuania, and there were no realistic plans to return to the private sector either. When I was introduced to the programme concept, it was the first time I seriously considered returning to Lithuania. The opportunity to participate in Create Lithuania not only provides real opportunities for young people who have studied abroad to make a name for themselves in Lithuania, but it is also slowly changing the image of the country.

I want to realise my potential through creative, interesting and meaningful work. I firmly believe that participating in Create Lithuania is a great opportunity to make this happen in Lithuania.
