Motivation
I decided to participate in the Create Lithuania programme because I believe that together with a team of motivated and creative like–minded people I will be able to create the Lithuania of the future – a modern, open and ambitious country where every person will feel dignity and will have the opportunity to use his/her talents and competences for the benefit of society. While studying and working abroad, I have never strayed away from Lithuania, I have always been proud to be Lithuanian, I have tried to be an informal ambassador of Lithuania, to introduce people of other cultures, religions and nationalities to the history, customs, political and economic issues of our country. I am extremely appreciative of the work done by my parents’ generation for the sake of their homeland, and I am proud of the people who, after decades of oppression and captivity, preserved Lithuanian identity, restored and built our state on the solid foundations of democracy. At the same time, I am convinced that now is the time for my generation – the active and creative Lithuanians of the world, with inexhaustible ideas and the determination to make them a reality – to nurture and lead the country forward. Independent Lithuania opened the door to the world, and gave me the opportunity to study and develop abroad. By joining the Create for Lithuania team, I want to repay the debt by applying my academic knowledge and international experience.
