Motivation

When I came back to Lithuania for the summer, I knew immediately that I wanted to stay here. All the advantages and the better life that so many young Lithuanians are attracted to are very conditional. It’s hard to put into words, but every expat knows the feeling of involuntarily smiling when faced with a cashier who is overwhelmed by long hours and demanding customers, or a trolleybus driver who is programmed to be particularly rigid… When you don’t smile. “How was your day? I wanted to tell you that you’re doing a great job.” And then the wall is broken, people shine, and you realise that sometimes it takes so little, when unfortunately it is so lacking. To try to do a little, but to succeed; to not stop at obstacles that seem insurmountable at first, but fall down in the face of enthusiasm and good ideas; to apply what I do best for the sake of people. My people. That’s what I came here to do, and that’s what I will do with the whole team.
