Motivation
I was born and grew up in Kaunas, where I went to an average, unremarkable school. Later, looking for new challenges, I moved to the capital. During my undergraduate studies in Lithuania, I noticed how different and diverse people from different parts of the world can be. I tried to blend into one of these corners myself. Part of this has already been achieved by studying and working in several European countries. But this desire is still more than alive and acts as a stimulus for improvement.
When you live abroad, you begin to realise how invaluable reasoned dialogue (on any topic) is. I firmly believe that it is only in this way, and not through prejudice or individual dogma, that lasting compromises can be reached. The sphere in which this principle becomes the starting point is human rights. It is for this reason (and probably out of youthful altruism) that I view many of the phenomena around me through the prism of human rights.
Thanks to the project “Create for Lithuania” I have the opportunity to share my worldview and experience in the Lithuanian public sector. I have no doubt that the participants of this project can make a significant contribution to the creation of a Lithuania that is a good place to live for all. It is good to be home.
