Motivation

The best university in the world is life itself. The most important thing is not to be afraid and to learn from every experience. In the summer of 2013, I was not afraid to take up the challenge of sharing my professional knowledge in a war zone. That’s how I ended up in Afghanistan, working for the NGO Afghan Voices. My experience in the country was like the most intensive cultural–anthropological, diplomatic, international relations and national security studies. Since this challenge was overcome, I decided to take on the challenges of the project “Create Lithuania”. Why?

I want to break a sweat and know it’s for my country. Like chopping down trees in the Siberian taiga. When you’re completely physically exhausted, with mosquitoes all around, and you want to drink so badly, and there’s no water… You have to remind yourself what you’re doing it for. You have to remind yourself where the goal is and where home is. I am happy to be able to share my international experience in Lithuania, at home.
