Motivation
I am a young, ambitious Lithuanian who is finishing her second master’s degree in the field of maritime law. I went to study abroad because my studies in Lithuania did not meet all my expectations, I wanted to learn a lot more, travel, improve. Studying in peaceful Scandinavia encouraged my social activity: I was elected to the international student organization, where I worked on various social projects. I have also actively volunteered at student radio in Oslo. I am interested in strengthening Lithuania’s energy independence, especially the Lithuanian Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal project. I am also interested in analyzing other sensitive state issues and finding solutions. I returned to create for Lithuania in Lithuania, because I want to prove to myself and others who are looking for happiness abroad that it is possible to work productively in my homeland.”Whenever I was asked: “in which country do you like the most” or “where would you like to eventually start your career”, the answer was always the same – in Lithuania. Although I lived, studied and worked in several countries and continents, Lithuania always lured me back. Parents’ initiative from Lithuania I left when I was little, so now I will try to prove to society that a Lithuanian who grew up abroad is not only not a foreigner, but can also contribute to the creation of a young Lithuania.
I will be able to apply the knowledge and practice acquired during my studies in the Lithuanian public sector. I believe that participating in this program will allow us to further strengthen our ties and connect our activities with our homeland.”
