Motivation
In Lithuania, I graduated from Klaipėda “Vėtrungė” gymnasium and went to Newcastle University to study Politics. After my studies, I wanted to gain a different experience, so I went to Colombia for a year. I chose this country because of the 50–year–old guerrilla war. I wanted to see a different culture, to see how it affects everyday life has an ongoing conflict.While in Colombia, I worked as an English teacher and lectured at local universities on European culture and political systems.
I never forgot Lithuania – I was interested in the news, I read Lithuanian books, I tried to make our country famous all over the world. I returned to Lithuania believing in its bright future. I believe that the next few generations will form a strong, educated and civically aware Lithuania. I think that there is nothing more meaningful than applying my experience here in Lithuania, so I am very happy to become a participant of “Kurk Lietuvai”.
