Motivation
When I was living abroad, I always had my own little missions and desires to maintain my ties with Lithuania. It is important for me that people know this country, so in every country where I have worked or studied, I have presented Lithuania in Slovenian, Russian, Indonesian and English to pupils, students and educators through interactive presentations. I followed Lithuanian news, participated in the activities of the Lithuanian Association for Non–Formal Education from a distance, sent an idea or an observation, a complaint or a praise to the state authorities, and actively joined Lithuanian communities in foreign countries.
During the seven years I lived abroad, I gained a wide range of experiences, insights and competences. Living the feeling of endless summer in Indonesia for the last two years has been sweet, but I missed the meaning of my activities. I realised that it is not enough to send a letter or make a call to make a change in Lithuania, but it is important to have live contact, time and a sense of the pulse here. I think that the opportunity to carry the flag of this project is a commitment, returning to live in Lithuania is a challenge, and working in a strong team to achieve real results is a strong motivation to be a part of Kurk Lietuvai
