Motivation
I left Lithuania when I had just turned 6 years old, and spent the majority of my childhood abroad. However, after a total of 14 years spent abroad in the United States and the United Kingdom, Lithuania is still the country where I feel most at home. Now, having gained more experience and finished my studies, I associate my future and further development with Lithuania. I think the Lithuanian youth has opportunities, which even citizens of the „best“ countries in the world cannot boast about. Due to the country‘s young age, we can all contribute to its development, and program‘s such as „Create Lithuania“ give aspiring young people an opportunity to achieve truly tangible results in this area. Our global mindset and international experience is useful for the country, and inputted effort – easily visible.
I personally feel as though I have a responsibility to help Lithuania, as though my knowledge is most useful here. Previous generations had to fight for the country‘s freedom, and now its our responsibility to fight for its prospective future. And if we do not take this responsibility on, then who will?
