In the light of Russia’s war in Ukraine, ‘Create Lithuania’ invites motivated Ukrainians to help shape Lithuania’s support efforts.
We are looking for Ukrainians who are ready to be a part of joint Lithuanian-Ukrainian teams working in the public sector: analyse how Lithuania can best contribute to the rebuilding of Ukraine, explore the integration procedures for Ukrainians in Lithuania or other related issues. The participants should be willing to take the initiative, seek solutions, and work with their Lithuanian colleagues to ensure that Ukrainians in Lithuania feel at home while Ukraine gets the necessary assistance.
About the programme
Launched in 2012, ‘Create Lithuania’ is the first and only programme that enables professionals with international experience to shape the future of modern Lithuania and apply the best foreign practices to Lithuania’s public sector.
Traditionally, participants of ‘Create Lithuania’ advise public sector bodies on national and regional issues in areas, such as promotion of foreign direct investment or start-up ecosystems, education, cyber security and many others.
Every year, 20-26 professionals with various backgrounds participate in the programme. Each participant works on two projects, lasting 6 months each. Participants usually work in teams of two, but some projects are completed by single individuals or in groups of three.
Programme coordinators tailor rotations individually to each participant according to their knowledge and experience, as well as the needs of various public sector institutions.
The joint Lithuanian-Ukrainian teams will be working on topics related to Ukraine’s rebuilding and integration of Ukrainians in Lithuania – the exact topics will be confirmed before the start of the programme and tailored to individual needs where possible.
