Motivation

I became interested in this programme for a few main reasons. First of all, I think it is a unique opportunity to apply the knowledge I have gained during my work and studies and to use my international experience in a targeted way. I am also fascinated by the rotational nature of the programme, as it gives me the opportunity to get to know the activities of different institutions. After reviewing the projects carried out by Kurk Lietuvai, I have decided that I am most interested in participating in the activities of the Competition Authority, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy. Working in the LCLC working group, I realised that Lithuania needs to improve in terms of creating a positive evaluation of its performance, as this is the first important step to convince foreign investors of its success. This is one of the most important reasons for contributing to Invest Lithuania’s activities. When we looked at the specifics of the work of the participants of “Invest Lithuania”, we were pleased to learn that from the very first days they are given a lot of responsibility – reliable planning and execution of projects. One of the most motivating aspects of the programme is that it does not provide instructions or guidance on how to carry out the tasks, but all possible resources for the participants to develop and find solutions. To be able to examine the institutions’ activities, propose projects and observe the concrete results is for me the ultimate reward for my efforts. I am determined to bring English productivity, Spanish positivity and American cosmopolitanism to the programme!
